Where is the Real Business Competition?

Where is the real business competition happening? Who are the real winners in this competition? Are they the businesses or companies with the highest and biggest assets, equity, sales and or profits? Business cannot survive without profiting. We know that, but if we will be more specific and will look at it deeper, we’ll also learn that businesses can actually survive without profiting temporarily. Besides, the business persons and entrepreneurs who are hasty are likely to loss than those who are prudent and patient in the real competition. Eventually, we will realize that the business battle is fought on the things that are permanent rather than temporary.

Competing for profit, sales and customers
I am emphasizing profit because most business owners run their enterprises to primarily earn profit. Thus, what becomes the common perception of people is that the business competition is more on generating the highest profits and making the richest money. And when we talk about profit, we are also speaking about increasing sales, attracting more customers and growing productivity. Therefore, we can also say that customers (sales) and workers (production) are also among the important factors we need to consider in the competition. But is that really all about those things? The answer is no.

The real competition
The real competition is not just on the race to having the most number of products produced or number of customers buying those products. The real world of business lies deeper on those things. So where is the true business competition happening? It’s happening deep within your employees and deep within your customers. We say within your people because the wining business is one that is on the top when it comes to inspiring, motivating and improving the lives of its workers or employees. We also say within your customers because the winning business is one that is best in satisfying, helping and saving the lives of its customers.

The center of the game
Furthermore, the real business war is also occurring within you… because the winning business is one that fulfills the life of its owners. The champion business is one that makes its owners truly happy and contented because he is fulfilling his or her life, not only with financial and material things, but also with unseen yet everlasting things, such as kindness, justice, patience, diligence, joy, peace and love to other people. The winners in the real business competition is not only awarded with money, cash, wealth, golden trophies, fame and other worldly things, but also with simple yet more precious than gold things, such as inner peace, real happiness, true friends and sweet goodnight’s sleep.
