Writing is the painting of the voice; writing is not an easy thing to do. You need to have a very broad mind, you need to think uniquely and creatively in order to come up with a good content, idea or story.
Same as what we usually hear, it’s like staring at a blank sheet and bleed. Writing requires a lot of time to think deeply, you need to come up with unique and original ideas.
Entering into the world of writers is such a tiring thing to do, because your brain needs to work. F. Scott Fitzgerald once said “You don’t write because you want to say something, you write because you have to say something.”
You’ll learn to be a better writer through writing . Almost all good writers begin with a terrible writing but the more you practice, the easier you’ll get better. According to Stephen king, if you don’t have time to read you don’t have time to write. You just have to read a lot and write a lot. Reading will also help you to enhance your writing skills because the more you read, the more it widens your knowledge.
Writing was not a childhood dream of mine. It just happened that as I grew older I became more passionate in reading which leads to my keenness in writing. Reading books brought me to different dimensions, it brought me beyond my imagination and that’s what made me wonder how those writers write such a good book, like how do they play with words in a very creative way. Well at first, I spent more time watching my stories inside my head rather than writing them, however as time goes by I learned how to write them in words.
Ever since, I’ve always imagined stories out of my head. I remember William Faulkner once said “If a story is in you, it has to come out.” So I tried writing a very short story on a piece of paper. Of course, at first it wasn’t good but as I explore more into writing I became more passionate to it. I continue writing ’til the last drop of a word in my head. I wasn’t exactly sure if there is money in writing but I just want to write and create stories coming from my head. I just want to burst out thoughts I never merely utter. I want to play on your imaginative minds, in every story I create.
But isn’t it wonderful, that while you are doing your passion, you earn money at the same time? You probably wonder how an enthusiast writer can earn money through writing. Well, there are actually a lot of ways on how to do it. You just have to be passionate and patient on what you are doing.

Thank you very much.

i am interested in writing scripts as long as i can remember. from reality to fantasy, science fiction to horror. i feel that great scripts should end up as movies even if they don’t sell, whether good or bad ones. Sometimes, these great scripts aren’t appreciated in their time, but after a while, they sink in to the greater media.

Thank you Mitch for writing this article. Last year during the lockdown of Metro Manila due to the pandemic, I started to engaged myself to script writing where I find it amusing by thinking a story and making it alive on paper. Today I still continue to gather my thoughts and make another script. But are you holding seminars on scriptwriting? If so, I’d like to enhance my writing skills through any seminars you may suggest. Have a great day!

Thank you for this quick motivation to aspiring writers. I have written 3 short novels in a span of 5 years, tried to publish it to Amazon but to no avail and now I’m considering script-writing. I was doing it while struggling with my day-job. Some called me passionate but I would always try to look for a motivation such as yours. I don’t know if I can still keep at it in the next 5 years or so if I can’t even find just a sprout in what I have planted. Probably, I need more connections. But, thank you anyway.
