How to Secure Your Business

April 15, 2011 Vic 1 Comment

How to secure your business? What are the ways to protect our businesses? We invest money, time and energy on it. Thus, we need to keep it away from any danger. Just like a precious thing in our possession, we got to defend it from anyone or anything that will take it away from us. There are many business risks that we should detect and prevent. They can be natural, economical, political and even personal. For the risks associated with the law of nature, we can get an insurance company to protect our business from fire and other natural calamities. For political and economical reasons, we appropriate funds for emergency situations. But when personal matters arise, can insurance and money save our companies? We can rebuild an office building vanished in the fire. We can regain financial loss in operations. But lost reputation, integrity, trustworthy and confidence are hard to restore.

“The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.” – Proverbs 10:9 (NIV)

The business with integrity

Integrity is the sister of security. They always go and work together. Without integrity, your business faces many risks. These risks include loss of trust from your clients and customers, low morale employees, possible charges from the government, and loss of confidence from anyone who does business with you. Moreover, we must not also forget that God has control over the natural events, which the insurance people call them “acts of God”. Thus, we should remember that righteous persons, as well as righteous business practices, are in the line for God’s blessings.

So with integrity, you can have a good name which can attract more customers and consequently, attract more sales and profit. With integrity, you can boost your employees’ morale, increase their motivation, and raise your productivity. With honesty and integrity, you will be free from the government’s charges, such as tax evasion and other delinquencies. With integrity, your business will achieve lasting profitability and business stability, under the blessings of God and people.

Integrity results to quality

Integrity bears quality. If you value your business name and reputation, you will strive to give quality to your clients and customers. You will also become a good employer or manager to your people inside the organization. With integrity you will ensure that all your business stakeholders will be satisfied, happy and be provided with the help and solutions they need. By giving trust and confidence, you will also receive trust and confidence from them. It becomes a give and take process.

The secret to securing your business

As we discuss, security lies within your integrity. If you have integrity you will gain security. The secret to securing your business starts from securing the unseen yet lasting things within you as a business person. Integrity, quality, care and passion to help your customers and every stakeholders of your business, are the examples of these things you should secure first within yourself. We must bear in mind that the secret key to securing our business is simply to secure first other people. Secure first your customers, employees, the environment, the government, the public and your inner self for God. If you do this, you can expect that they won’t give your any trouble. Instead, they will be the ones who will help you preserve and secure the long-term profitability and stability of your business.
