Internet Marketing Training by DOST 8 – EVFIT Philippines

Internet marketing is not all about Internet, but it is importantly more about marketing, which include products, prices, places, promotion and people. SEO is not all about search engines, but it should also be integrated with content marketing, social media marketing, relationship marketing and other online marketing strategies to become more effective and powerful. Internet marketers, whether they are SEO or social media specialists, should not just be technical – they should be strategic, technical, tactical and should also possess professional values and disciplines. These are some of the things that I emphasized during the 5-day Internet Marketing training provided by EVFIT last week from June 17 – 21, 2013.

Eastern Visayas Federation for Information Technology (EVFIT) is a government organization under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 8. The federation aims to improve the information and communications technology (ICT) and ICT-enabled industries in the Eastern Visayas region. To realize their objectives, one of their steps is to develop talents in the region through training, seminars and workshops provided to target participants.

The recent Internet marketing and SEO training was actually first of its kind in the region. That is why I was delighted and honored to become one of the resource speakers/trainers during the event. Other resource speakers are Bryan Cinco (an SEO specialist based in Leyte) and Fae Cheska Marie Esperas (a content writer and social media specialist also based in Leyte). Ranjit Montablan, the executive director of EVFIT, was also very supportive and dynamic.

My topics were on the fundamentals and principles of Internet Marketing, SEO and professional blogging. I wish that I could share and teach all my knowledge and expertise to more people in Eastern Visayas and all over the Philippines. Well, it may be more profitable to serve foreigners, but it is indeed sweeter and more honorable to serve my countrymen, especially the people in my own region.

Anyway, whether you are a Filipino or not, I would be glad to share the presentations I made for the training. Although, there are more detailed things that I shared and taught during the actual training, I still think that the following presentations (visual aids) covering my topics would help you somehow if you are interested in Internet marketing, search engine optimization and blogging.
