Love doesn’t need much introduction. We all hear love everytime and everywhere. We talk about love in our home, in schools, and even in our workplace. Therefore relax, sit back, and enjoy reading the following 7 love tips for business owners, entrepreneurs, and everyone.
1. Know what love is
Know the deeper meaning of love and not just the love that is equivalent to passionate affection for another person or the feeling that we have when we fall in love with a person. If you will realize what true love is, you will understand that it encompasses great virtues like patience, kindness, humility, honor, selflessness, calmness, truth, and righteousness. All of these great virtues are vital to successful entrepreneurship, specifically when it comes to dealing with people and to our responsibility to the world. To start, you can reflect on the following definition of love from the Bible.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” -1 Corinthians 13:4-7
2. Learn how to love yourself the right way
You have to give love to your customers, employees, business partners, and the people in your community. But how can you give love to them if there is no love inside you? How can you love others if you can’t even love yourself? Therefore, learn how to love yourself first… the right way. The right way to love yourself is not to indulge it with temporary rewards or to escape it from temporary sufferings. To love yourself the right way is to develop it personally and spiritually. You have to fill yourself with the right knowledge, values and habits. You’ve got to be self-motivated to motivate others. You’ve got to be inspired to inspire others. If you are letting yourself to become a bad, lazy, greedy, and selfish person, then you are not loving yourself. And when you can’t love yourself, it will also be difficult to love others.
3. Don’t love money
They say money is the root of all evil, but this is wrong. The root of all evil is not “money”, but the “love of money”. Hence, have money, but don’t love money. To love something is to almost do anything for that thing. If a business person or entrepreneur will love money, he might end up doing business only for money. This love of money may really result to all evils, which include greed, pride and deceit. A business person who loves money will only focus on making profit even if it would mean deceiving his customers, becoming unfair to his laborers, and ignoring quality business. Thus, never fall in love with those bucks.
4. Love God
Whether we believe in God or not, and whether we have a religion or not, we don’t know everything. That is why we cannot deny that sometimes, or often, we believe in miracles. Loving the One who is above us gives us the courage and confidence to continue despite of the many hardships and uncertainties we face in life. And for our God, who is love, there is no one who can teach us better when it comes to practicing love but Him.
5. Love people as you love yourself
If you can follow tip#2, then you can do this better. If you can learn how to love yourself, then you can also learn how to love other people. Loving people is vital in ensuring the lasting success of your business or enterprise. If you know how to love your employees, then you can make them happier, motivated and more productive. If you love your customers, you will be more committed to provide the quality products that will satisfy and wow them. And if you love your community and the whole humanity, then you will be more passionate in building up an enterprise that can change the world.
6. Love your enemies
If you do business, you will have business competitors. Would you like your competitors to hate you? If you don’t want them to hate you, then love them and do good to them. You can promote fair business competition and even suggest cooperation for the sake of your consumers. Remember that love is like the sun that shines to all people, whether they are bad or good. If you have employees, you should love and do good to all of them, whether they hate you or love you. And when dealing with your clients or customers, you should share your love to all of them, whether they love complaining to you or they love praising you.
7. Find the right one
Last but not the least, find the right person who will be your husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend. If you don’t want your enterprise or business empire to fall into destruction, then fall in love with the right person and not with the one who will only corrupt your good attitude. That girl or guy should lead you to the right path of life. Find a partner that will complete you and will make you a better person. It may sound a fairy tale, but it actually happens in real life. Don’t act like a hero who enters and lingers into a romantic relationship in an aim to change the attitude of another. Doing that will only lead to your own destruction. And besides, people voluntarily change their attitudes when they are really falling in love.
I hope you’ve learned valuable lessons today. Always make your day a lovely day!

Vic, You are right about love of money is evil. Most people commit sins because of their love for money. If we can practice what the bible says about money, we would not have all the evil in this world.
