Steve Jobs’ Most Popular and Inspiring Quotes

October 6, 2011 Vic Leave a Comment

Steve Jobs will always be an icon of technology and innovation. As a founder and CEO of Apple, he has indeed change the world by providing us the coolest products and gadgets we can have, which include the MacBook, iPhone, iMac, iPod, iTunes and iPad. Mr. Jobs is a great marketer who simply offers the best products that customers could ever imagine. No wonder why Apple, Inc. becomes one of the most valuable company in the world which currently worth $351 billion. Mr. Jobs is also one of my favorite mentors and inspiration in business, entrepreneurship, management and leadership. In business for bringing his corporation to the top despite of the recession; in entrepreneurship for being both bold and diligent in creating a great product, and in management and leadership for always being committed to make his team better. He may have left for now, but his legacies will always be with us. And the best legacy that I can always carry without the use of battery or any kind of physical energy is the following collection of his most popular and inspiring quotes, quotations and sayings.

“I was lucky — I found what I love to do early in life,”

“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”

“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”

“Why join the navy if you can be a pirate?”

“Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.”

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”

“To turn really interesting ideas and fledgling technologies into a company that can continue to innovate for years, it requires a lot of disciplines.”

“You can’t just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new.”

“Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations.”

“The people who are doing the work are the moving force behind the Macintosh. My job is to create a space for them, to clear out the rest of the organization and keep it at bay.”

“I think we’re having fun. I think our customers really like our products. And we’re always trying to do better.”

“I think this is the start of something really big. Sometimes that first step is the hardest one, and we’ve just taken it.”

“We are very careful about what features we add because we can’t take them away.”

“We do not say anything about future products. We work on them in secret, then we announce them.”

“We’ve gone through the operating system and looked at everything and asked how can we simplify this and make it more powerful at the same time,”

“I was worth over $1,000,000 when I was 23, and over $10,000,000 when I was 24, and over $100,000,000 when I was 25, and it wasn’t that important because I never did it for the money.”

“We’re the last guys left in this industry who can do it, and that’s what we’re about.”

“Apple’s market share is bigger than BMW’s or Mercedes’s or Porsche’s in the automotive market. What’s wrong with being BMW or Mercedes?”
