One major reason is the lack of available local jobs that can provide us enough money to adequately finance our personal and family expenses. Other reasons include the dream to travel abroad, meeting foreigners, seeking for freedom and other reasons aside from the higher salary that can be earned while working with foreign companies and employers. Although leaving families and loved ones is, emotionally, a difficult thing to do, many Filipinos are not stopping from going abroad. Thus, our government is supporting them through certain overseas employment programs that aid Filipinos and Filipinas in finding jobs in other countries. Domestic Helper
Being a domestic helper has been a popular job for Filipinos abroad for the past years. A domestic worker is someone who works within the employer’s household.
