Who do you think is the real boss in your business?
Is it your key employees, your customers, or you?
How could your employees be your bosses if you are their boss?
But without you workers, who will help you run your business?
Without your employees, who will serve your customers?
You cannot manage your business alone.
Therefore, your workers can affect your decisions.
Now let’s go to your customers. Are you following them?
You should be, since they are the ones who put money on your business.
Your customers are actually the ones paying the salaries for your employees.
Without them, your business will not survive – it will go to bankruptcy.
If your employees are your machine, customers are your fuel.
You cannot run your business with empty return.
Hence, your customers greatly influence your decisions.
How about you? Do you consider yourself as the boss of your business?
You should not remove your leadership to your workers.
You should not always follow your customers all the time.
You should reserve management for yourself.
If you follow everyone, you might end up following nothing.
And if you will lead everyone, you might end up leading nothing.
So what’s my point? Who’s the real boss in your business?
The real boss in your business is the one that good customers follow.
It is the one that good employees obey.
It is the one that good business owners pursue.
The real boss in your business should be… righteousness.
Workers follow righteousness because it gives justice.
Customers want righteousness because it produces quality and excellence.
You want righteousness because it can give you happiness and fulfillment.
So be a boss, but don’t be bossy.
Lead your workers in humility and justice.
Provide your customers with quality and satisfaction.
Manage yourself with virtue and decency.
Don’t forget to avoid what is wrong.
Always follow what is right.
Keep in mind that the real and right boss in your business is righteousness.

I say it is the customers. “The Customer is Always Right.” If the customer needs something quickly, I work overtime. If customers change their taste or preferences, my business better change to meet their demands.
When you are an employee, you have only one customer. You call him “the boss” or “the employer”, but the fact is that you are selling him some combination of your time, your effort and your expertise.
When you own the business, you have many bosses or employers. You call them “the customers” or “the clients”.

Thanks for sharing David. I must say specifically that good customers are always right. 🙂
