I just want to share one of the marketing strategies that I use to promote my clients’ businesses and my own brands online. I call it “HELP Marketing strategy”. It’s a simple marketing strategy that can be used both by large enterprises and small businesses to achieve their business goals. Here’s what it stands for and how I apply it to boost the digital marketing campaign of a certain business.
H (Home) – First, I create a place for my target customers where they can call their home. It can be a website, blog, Facebook Page, LinkedIn Group and other social media. This “home” should be useful, valuable and interesting. I create and publish blog posts and other content that will serve as healthy foods for my users. In other words, this home should fulfill their hunger and thirst for information and solutions. This home should also be competitive. That’s why I study other homes to make sure that my home will be the best choice for my users or customers.
E (Engage). Once my target customers are already enjoying the “home” I’ve created for them, it’s time to engage with them. Here, it’s important that you have the best call-to actions placed in your home to direct your customers to your landing pages. Building an email list is also a great way to connect to your customers through their email when they are not in your “home”. The main objective here is to have profitable conversations with your customers. So in my blog and social media channels, I make sure that helpful conversations and engagements are always present. Asking customers, listening to their feedback, and answering their queries are only some of the engagements we should always do.
L (Lift). One of the most effective ways that I use to promote a brand, build relationships and earn the loyalty of my customers is by inspiring them. This can be done through thought-leadership, motivation, and sharing words of inspiration that can help them solve their daily problems in life. This is equivalent to fulfilling my social responsibility and being a good role model to our community. There are many ways to lift your customers. If you want to have loyal customers, don’t just focus your business on making profit, but also on listening and understanding your customers’ deeper problems. Create a solution for them, whether it’s about their personal problem, culture, environment and others.
P (Persist). Finally, it’s consistency and tenacity that will help us achieve our goals. Hence, we should not stop providing a useful home to our customers, we should continue on making meaningful engagements with them and persist in lifting up their lives.
How about you? Does your business use this kind of marketing strategy online? Have you ever built a home for your customers online? Are you having great conversations or engagements with them? Are you giving them extra time and effort to lift their lives and inspire them. Do you persist on what you do? If you haven’t leveraged the HELP Marketing strategy yet, give it a try!
